Everywhere you look, something is moving.  What's moving around you right now?  Someone may be walking up the stairs.  Cars may be driving by outside.  The wind might be blowing leaves around outside.  Motion is all around you. 

What does it take for an object to move?  Think about it.  When you ride a bike on a warm summer day, it doesn't move by itself.  Something makes it move.  That something is called a force.  A force can be a push or pull.  You are going to begin a study of forces and how they affect objects that are in motion.  Once you are experts on forces and motion, you will become a roller coaster engineer and create a roller coaster in your classroom.  Are you ready to begin your class?
